Human Rights in the 21st Century: A Conference for Change

Color poster

Human Rights is a huge concern in the world today. Many issues have come to surface. As an assignment in Intermediate Typography we had the chance to choose one of two conferences and make a poster to illustrate it. My whole goal with this poster was neutrality as a concept. I wanted to focus more on the information on the poster and not pick a side whether a negative outlook or a positive one. So I chose to use black and white photos to express the many cultures we have in the world today. The expressions are calm and collective, and together they for the letters H R to represent Human Rights.

As for the back I chose to go with a color that was sophisticated and maintained the neutrality concept i was going with. The blue/teal color i chose was the perfect option. Going along with the sophisticated feel, I chose to keep the back layout very clean and simple. A nice and organized layout that is easy to read and to understand, but keep your eye moving throughout the piece.
