General Public

The general public is welcome to use many of the resources and services of Steely Library.

Checkout & Library Cards

Individuals with a library card from a local library may be eligible to borrow items through an agreement with Southwest Ohio and Neighboring Libraries (SWON). SWON libraries have agreed to reciprocal lending policies for their patrons. Since this membership may change from year-to-year, it is advisable to check the SWON website at http://www.swonlibraries.org/members for a current listing of participating libraries.

Patrons with a current library card from a SWON library will be given borrowing privileges at Steely Library. Upon presentation of acceptable identification, Steely Library will create a SWON library card. There is no charge for this card.

SWON patrons may then borrow up to FIVE items at any one time from Steely Library.

Library Databases

Most of Steely Library's databases are available to the public from the computers located within the library. Please ask about logging into the computers, at a Public Service Desk.
