Finding Reference Books

Reference books provide a broad overview of topics. They include encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, directories, bibliographies, and indexes to the literature.

When using NKUIRE, if you see "Steely Reference" as the location, that means the book is in our Reference collection on the 3rd floor and may be used in the library only.

Reference books are arranged by Library of Congress classification, just as are the circulating books. You might want to browse a broad classification area to see what we have in your discipline.
