Finding Periodicals
The most recent few months' print issues of periodicals (magazines and journals) are shelved in alphabetical order by title in the "Current Periodicals" section.
The Current Periodicals section is on the 3rd floor near the photocopiers.
Older print issues are shelved in alphabetical order by title in the "Bound Periodicals" section behind the Reference shelves on the 3rd floor.
Newspapers for the most recent two weeks are shelved on the 3rd floor in alphabetical order by title. Issues older than two weeks which have not yet arrived on microform are kept in the Closed Stacks on the 1st floor. Ask Information Desk staff to assist you in obtaining resources in Closed Stacks.
Print periodicals issues may not be checked out, but you can make photocopies for 10 cents per page (5 cents if you use your All Card).
Most older issues of our periodicals are on microform (microfiche and microfilm). ALL microfom issues of newspapers are on the 4th floor. The most recent 20 years of other microform periodicals are kept on the 4th floor. Issues older than 20 years (except for newspapers) are kept in Closed Stacks on the 1st floor. Ask Information Desk staff to assist you in obtaining resources in the Closed Stacks.
The microform periodicals and reader/printers are on the 4th floor. You can make copies of microform articles.
