Printing

Steely Library participates in the campus-wide printing system, Pharos Uniprint. Under this system, NKU students can print a designated number of pages for free each semester from any campus computer, including those in the library, using a special account set up on their NKU All Card.

Full time students receive $12.00 in free prints, part time students receive $6.00 in free prints, and Winter term students receive $2.00 in free prints.

For more information about using the Pharos printing system and the number of free prints, see NKU Pay for Print. When free prints are used up, students can add money to their All Card account for additional prints. To check on your account balance, use the NKU Pay for Print Account Balance application.

All library patrons, with or without an NKU All Card, have the option to pay for their print jobs in cash. If you choose to pay in cash, your print jobs will be sent to a printer behind the third floor Public Service Desk, where you can pick them up and pay for them at that time. When you choose this option, the print system requires you to type in a name to identify your print job.

Wireless Printing from Personal Laptops

B&W printing is available to students who are using a Microsoft operating system on their personal laptops (i.e., Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7). The cost is $.10 per page (payable by cash, credit card, or check) and the print jobs may be picked up from the third floor Public Service Desk. Poster Printing Options at Steely Library

Color poster printing is available at the 3rd floor Public Service Desk. Printing costs are $15 (17” x 20”) and $20 (22” x 34”). Please see personnel at the desk for assistance.
