Instructional Services

Steely Library offers a variety of instructional services designed to help students take advantage of the increasingly complex and sophisticated information systems that make up today's libraries.

Course-Related Instructional Sessions

  • Classes are offered only on certain days and times.
  • To prepare term papers, speeches, or other research projects, NKU students need to use an increasingly varied and sophisticated array of information resources. Identifying the appropriate tools for any given research need, and then learning to use those tools effectively, are essential skills in this information age.

    Librarians are available to speak to any NKU class about sources and services that would be useful in completing a particular research assignment. We may cover discipline-specific or general indexes, electronic databases or selective bibliographies, local files such as NKUIRE or worldwide information sources accessible through the Internet. To schedule a session, faculty may fill out an online request form:
