Instruction Request
General Information
- We require at least two weeks advance notice (one week for NKU faculty during Summer sessions and May intersession). Our classroom calendar fills up quickly.
- The form asks you to fill in your top three preferences for date and time, beginning with your first choice. Every effort will be made to accommodate your first choice, but as classes are available only on certain days and times, it may not always be possible.
- After you submit this form, we will check to see if the time slot you requested is available. You will receive a response within three working days (excluding weekends and holidays) either confirming a date and time or notifying you that the slot you requested is unavailable. If you have not received a notice within three working days, please contact Debbie Reichler.
- Instructors can request a Blackboard Librarian (a virtual librarian who can answer questions and offer resources for course work within the class Blackboard site) to join their class any time during the semester, or after they have brought the class to Steely Library for in-person instruction by a librarian.
- The Blackboard Librarian will often be the same librarian who presented in the library session; but the assignment is ultimately dependent upon availability.
- We find that students get much more out of the session when the course instructor is present.
- University 101 instructors, please see our University 101 Web page for additional instructions before submitting this form.
- High School Teachers, please read our High School Teachers web page before submitting this form.
- If you are requesting instruction for students who are not NKU students, please indicate this in the research experience section of the form.
