  • Federal Accounting Standards Board (federal government)
    The FASB promulgates accounting principles for federal government reporting entities. This website provides access to all publications issued by FASAB including exposure drafts, the volume of original pronouncements, newsletters, minutes and meeting agendas.
  • Financial Accounting Standards Board (non-government entities)
    The FASB establishes standards for financial accounting and reporting by non-governmental entities.
  • Governmental Accounting Standards Board
    The mission of the Governmental Accounting Standards Board is to establish and improve standards of state and local governmental accounting and financial reporting that will result in useful information for users of financial reports and guide and educate the public, including issuers, auditors, and users of those financial reports.
  • GAO Reports (U.S. Government Accountability Office, formerly U.S. General Accounting Office)
    The GAO Reports application contains reports ("blue books") on audits, surveys, investigations, and evaluations of Federal programs conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). All published reports, testimonies, correspondence, and special publications are included. Products that are restricted or classified were not included. Reports are available as ASCII text and Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
  • Federal Reserve Bulletin
    The Federal Reserve Bulletin, introduced in 1914 has been viewed as a journal of record, serving to provide data generated by the Board back to the public. Authors from the Federal Reserve Boards' Research and Statistics, Monetary Affairs, International Finance, Banking Supervision and Regulation, Consumer and Community Affairs, Reserve Bank Operations, and Legal divisions contribute to the content published in each issue. The Bulletin includes topical research articles, legal developments, and other general information.

    The American Accounting Association promotes worldwide excellence in accounting education, research and practice.
  • International Accounting Standards Board
    The mission of the International Accounting Standards Board is to develop, in the public interest, a single set of high quality, understandable and international financial reporting standards (IFRS) for general purpose financial statements.
  • Bureau of the Fiscal Service, U.S. Department of the Treasury
    The Bureau of the Fiscal Service was established on October 7, 2012, with the consolidation of two Treasury Department bureaus: the Bureau of the Public Debt (BPD) and the Financial Management Service (FMS).
  • The Green Book: Guide to Federal ACH Payments and Collections
    A comprehensive guide for financial institutions that receive ACH payments from the federal government, and send payments (i.e., collections) to the federal government.
  • FedStats
    FedStats provides information for agencies that are listed in Statistical Programs of the United States Government and reporting expenditures of at least $500,000 per year in one or more statistical activities.
  • Public Company Accounting Oversight Board
    Established by Congress, the PCAOB oversees the audits of public companies. The board establishes practice standards that registered public accounting firms are required to follow when preparing audit reports of public companies. These standards are included on the website, plus users can view reports of firms that have been audited and see reports of settled disciplinary orders. Additional information includes rules for non-US public accounting firms involved with auditing US firms. The News and Events section is helpful for keeping up with proposed changes and other activities with which the board is involved.

    Comprehensive site offers navigation to Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Tax Regulations, and more.
