Find Biographical Information
Perhaps the easiest way to find biographical information about an individual is by using the Biography Reference Bank Database. The screenshots below will guide you through the process:
Go to the Steely Library webpage, http://library.nku.edu/ and choose Articles and Databases from the Library Quick links menu

Once there, choose "B" from the alphabetical list

Choose Biography Reference Bank from the list of B databases.

Once in the database, type in the last name and then the first name of the person you're seeking in the search box and click on the blue start button.

Next, you’ll want to click on the link for the person you are seeking.

Next, you have a few options. You can read the biographical information that comes up on the main page (Note: If you're more of an auditory learner, you might prefer to click on the Listen to Document icon and have it read to you in the accent and speed that you choose.) Or, you might want to click on the Most Recent Articles about the individual (a detail of this screen will be shown next).

If you click on the Most Recent Articles tab, you'll find articles about the individual. Note: There are tabs to filter those that are full-text, and some of the articles allow you to listen to the article being read, so look for the speaker icon next to selected articles.
