N.B: NKU Steely Library has a limited collection of books for pleasure reading. For a wider selection, please consult your local library catalog or use WorldCat to access many libraries' catalogs.

• Go to the library's catalog - NKUIRE.
• Choose the Advanced Search tab at the top.
• Type fiction in the first search box.
• Scroll down the page to the drop down box called Library Location.
  • Choose "Steely Farris Reading Room."

Many of Steely's fiction books are located there. However, you don't have to narrow to Steely Farris Reading room.

You can choose "Steely Library" and search all of Steely's collection.

Example search:

• Once in the catalog, in Advanced Search:
  • Enter fiction in the first line
  • Enter vampire in the second line
  • Choose Steely Library in the Library Location drop down box
  • All vampire fiction (such as Twilight and the True Blood books) will appear.

Suggested Search Terms:

• Biography
• Vampire (or whatever subject your prefer)
• Mystery
• Romance

Be sure to include fiction as a search term, otherwise you will get results that include nonfiction.

Once you find a book you like, click on the record.

Scroll down to the Subjects listing.

If you click any of those terms listed, you will find other fiction books on the same subject.
