Dissertations and Theses

Dissertations and theses are the written results of scholarly research completed by a student enrolled in an academic institution’s doctorate or master’s degree program. The completion of a dissertation and its successful defense is usually the final requirement for obtaining a research doctoral degree, either a Ph.D. or Ed.D. The completion of a thesis is required by many master's degree programs.
