The netLibrary ebooks provided by Steely Library can be accessed in two ways:
- Via the NKUIRE catalog
Search for ebooks by title, author, subject, or keyword. Ebooks will be identified with the words [electronic resource] after the title.
Browse lists of available ebook titles. You can search for ebooks by keyword, author, title, or full text.

- Digital Book Index
- Provides links to more than 88,000 title records from more than 1800 commercial and non-commercial publishers, universities, and various private sites. About 49,900 of these books, texts, and documents are available for free.

- Can be searched for "full view" books.
- Literature on the Web
- This site contains links to over 7800 works of literature by more than 700 authors. Also included are links to over 2700 online study guides, critical works, biographies, and other relevant sources.

- More than 2500 free books.
- On-Line Books Page
- More than 19,000 free books on all kinds of topics; searchable by subject. Hosted by the University of Pennsylvania library.

- More than 6,000 free books on all kinds of topics; searchable by author, title, and subject.

- The British Library Treasures
- A selection of literary treasures available in the British Library. Includes digital reproductions of items such as the Gutenberg Bible, the Lindisfarne Gospels, the Magna Carta, Caxton's Chaucer, and one of Leonardo Da Vinci's notebooks.

- Humanities Text Initiative
- Online access to a wide variety of humanities text collections.
- International Children's Digital Library
- With participants from around the world, the ICDL is building an international collection that reflects both the diversity and quality of children's literature. Currently, the collection includes materials donated from 27 cultures in 15 languages.

- Documents the riches and diversity of Southern experience as presented in one hundred of its most important literary works.
- Luminarium
