Liaison Program
Introduction
The Library's various collections are developed to support all academic programs of the University -- from bachelor's programs in the traditional disciplines to experimental and community related programs. Full faculty participation in the selection of library materials is deemed vital to ensure that our collection successfully fills the needs of every academic area.
When ordering any new library materials, faculty members should consider the objectives stated in the Library Collection Development Policy. A copy of this document is available in each academic department.
With the exception of text books, the library welcomes gift books which will enhance the undergraduate collection. When a book is published by NKU faculty, the library appreciates receiving a gift copy.
Each library faculty member serves as a liaison to one or more academic departments. The purpose of the liaison program is to serve as a communication vehicle between the library and teaching faculty. Through information discussions with the liaison, teaching faculty will be updated on library issues, services and trends that affect library resources.
To Order Library Materials
To place an order for library materials, faculty should complete a materials recommendation form. Acquisitions may be reached by calling x-6389.
