Library Graduate Assistant for Fee-Based Services Program

- Twenty hours per week. Work schedules vary to accommodate Graduate Assistant and departmental needs, but will include day hours only. No work assignments will be made during University holidays.
- Job Description:
- The Fee-Based Services Program of Steely Library is seeking a Library Graduate Assistant (LGA) for an appointment to begin immediately-June 30, 2008. The assistantship will include 20 hours a week at a rate of $15.00 an hour. The primary responsibility of the LGA will be to conduct extensive prospective donor research and generate reports for the Advancement Office at NKU. The LGA will work directly with the Instructional Services Librarian to acquire effective databases searching techniques for this specialized research. Due to the nature of this type of research, there will be stringent confidentially requirements.
- Qualifications:
- Excellent oral communication; ability to work collaboratively with library faculty and other NKU personnel; ability to be a self-motivated and work independently without close supervision while still taking direction from the Instructional Services Librarian is extremely important; experience and/or coursework in advanced database searching preferred.
