Interlibrary Loan Services for Gateway Patrons

General Information

The Interlibrary Loan Department aids Gateway students, faculty, and staff in obtaining materials not available at Gateway Community and Technical College, or Steely Library. Please check the libraries' catalogs to determine if the materials you need are available, before you make an Interlibrary Loan request.

Interlibrary loan materials can be requested through ILLiad, Steely Library's Automated Interlibrary Loan Service.

Patrons must follow the link to ILLiad and sign up for a user account. Gateway faculty, and students should indicate their status as a Gateway Community College Patron in the appropriate box.

With ILLiad you only need to enter your personal information one time - during the initial registration. After that you will be able to log into your personal ILLiad account to make requests, view the status of your requests, renew items, and pick up your electronically delivered materials.

What kinds of things can be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan?

On average, it takes Interlibrary Loan materials 7 to 10 days to arrive. Materials that are not delivered electronically can be picked up at the main circulation desk in Steely Library.
