Research Guides - How to Create a Link

Start Here: http://library.nku.edu/research_help/research_guides/

  1. Choose a Research Guide from the list.

  2. Highlight the URL and then copy it.

  3. Log in to Blackboard and select your course. Click on "Add Content Area."

  4. Give the contet area a name, such as "Library Resources." Check the box, "Available to users." Click the Submit button.

  5. Select "Library Resources" from the Content Area Menu.

  6. Click on "Build Content" and then select "Create" a "URL."

  7. Fill in the required fields for adding a new URL.

  8. Next, go to "Options" and check the box, "Display After." Then click the Submit button.

  9. You have successfully added a link to a library Research Guide. Your new content area should look like the one below. To add additional library links, repeat steps 6, 7, and 8.
