Most people know Dr Barbara Hensley as the former EMDRIA Board President. What many people aren’t aware of is the passion she has for organization and taking on monumental tasks, and, most importantly, her tenacity to bring a project to fruition with the highest professional acumen. I view the creation, development and implementation of The Francine Shapiro Library as one of the most remarkable of Dr. Hensley’s numerous, noteworthy contributions to EMDR. The Francine Shapiro Library is designed to provide researchers with access to the largest collection of EMDR information. It is the result of an extraordinary effort by EMDRIA Past President Barbara Hensley who has spent years collecting and updating this comprehensive bibliography. And thanks to Northern Kentucky University for transforming this collection of thousands of articles into an online, searchable library.
