Bruce Family Papers

The Bruce Family Papers comprise a collection of family letters and documents beginning in 1816 and dating through several generations into the 1940s. The collection includes antebellum and Civil War letters of a slaveholding and Confederate family, as well as early drawings by the famed American painter Mary Bruce Sharon.
