The Information Desk
Reference and research assistance are provided at the Information Desk to all visitors. The desk is located on the 3rd floor near the plaza-level entrance. Available during library hours. In-depth reference and research assistance are available through Research Consultation service.
Phone
Reference and research assistance are provided via phone to all callers at (859) 572-5456. Available during library hours. In-depth reference and research assistance are available through Research Consultation service.
Email Reference
Reference and research assistance are provided via email using our Email Reference Form to all. Email messages are generally answered within the same day of arrival. Available during library hours. In-depth reference and research assistance are available through Research Consultation service.
Text Messaging
Reference and research assistance are provided via Text Message to all. Text Messages can be sent to 1-732-322-4014.  All Text Messages must be new (even when replying to a message from "+steely") and begin with "+steely". Text Messages may or may not be a part of your cell phone contract; check with your cell phone provider for details. Available during library hours. In-depth reference and research assistance are available through Research Consultation service.
Instant Messenger
Reference and research assistance are provided via Instant Message to all. Available during library hours. In-depth reference and research assistance are available through Research Consultation service.

Research Consultation

In-depth reference and research assistance are provided for extensive, personalized assistance to students, faculty and staff. Research Consultations can be scheduled to help assist with research strategies, techniques and resources. Research Consultations can also include basic library resources and services overviews or refreshers. Faculty and staff can also schedule Research Consultations on curriculum and assignment design.

Consultations can be scheduled at the Information Desk or by calling at (859) 572-5456. These one-on-one appointments are popular; so, schedule consultations as soon as possible. Available during most library hours until 9 P.M., Monday through Thursday; 5 P.M., Fridays; 4 P.M., Saturdays; and 5 P.M., Sundays.
