The work, Freedom Thru Flight, is a proposed front and back poster for a conference on human rights. Countries around the world suffer from human rights injustices, the majority of which involve children. They are put to work in sweatshops, killed or orphaned, and recruited to carry out acts of genocide by militias. This poster shows that fleeing is sometimes a way of escaping these injustices because children alone don’t have the power to make a change. It is up to the viewer to make an individual change to help right the wrongs, and to go from an individual into a group effort to make these changes. We all need to realize that these injustices aren’t just off in some remote country, but affect people every day.
