The United States is an automobile dependent society. There are 83 cars, trucks, or SUVs for every 100 men, women, and children. By contrast, Vietnam has 1.2 such vehicles per 100 people; it is a motorbike dependent society. In Saigon, there are 60 motorbikes for every 100 men, women and children.
